The New Classic of Mountains and Seas
Since 2012, Shopping Design, a media platform focusing on design and lifestyle, has selected the TAIWAN DESIGN BEST 100 each year, featuring 100 outstanding Taiwanese design works, people, and projects. This annual selection is published in a special issue every December, accompanied by the SDA (Shopping Design Award) ceremony.
The SDA awards cover various fields including exhibitions and events, social care and eco-friendly initiatives, designers and teams, craftsmen, creators, and architectural spaces. Each year, a different artist or studio is commissioned to design the award trophies.
For the 9th SDA, Shopping Design collaborated with Cheng Tsung FENG and his studio Kao Gong Ji to create 100 unique trophies. Inspired by the mythical beasts in the Classic of Mountains and Seas, they combined features of animals that fly in the sky, walk on the land, and swim in the waters through randomized permutations, generating 100 unexpected forms.
Some are adorable and instantly lovable, others are strange and whimsical beyond imagination. Each trophy was handcrafted into a soft, huggable object. At the award ceremony, winners drew lots to meet “their” creature, and each was given a name tag on site.
In a year full of surprises and challenges, these gentle companions were created to offer a special, soft embrace to every colleague, family member, and friend who shared the ups and downs together.

現代山海經
從2012年開始，關注設計、生活風格領域的媒體《Shopping Design》，每年都會選出當年度100件台灣精彩的設計人事物，在12月時製作「TAIWAN DESIGN BEST 100」雜誌專輯，並舉行SDA（Shopping Design Award）頒獎典禮；獎項領域囊括展覽活動、社會關懷友善環境、設計師／團隊、職人創作者、建築空間等，並於每年委託不同的創作者設計該年度的獎座。
邁入第9屆的SDA，與考工記工作室范承宗合作，為得獎者們特製一百個獨一無二的獎座。受山海經的奇幻異獸啟發，他們擷取山海間在天上飛的、地上走的、水裡游的動物特徵，以隨機亂數的方式組合出一百次意想不到的樣貌，有的討喜可愛一見鍾情，有的奇怪滑稽匪夷所思，這一百次意外被手工製作成柔軟的化身，獲獎者們將在典禮現場抽出與自己相遇的那一個，再由現場工作人員車上名條。在這個充滿意外與挑戰的一年，牠們要給各位同甘共苦的夥伴、親愛的家人朋友，一個特別柔軟的擁抱。
