Learning to Create a Design from Tradition
Cheng Tsung FENG is a Taiwanese young artist. With an old soul in his body, he is fascinated by exploring the wisdom condensed out of time hidden in traditional utensils. He is reluctant to let go of these intangible assets along with traditional utensils. Thus, he inherits them by design and learns to create utensils from their tradition. The exhibition features his large installation art works since 2016. He applied handcrafted methods from traditional artifacts into large-scale installations, making the brilliant ancient wisdom which hidden in the objects can be represent at very different scales and functions. Rebirth is the way he preserves precious traditional culture as an artist.

從傳統學創造：范承宗的空間裝置藝術
范承宗是個身體裡住著老靈魂的年輕創作者，他著迷於挖掘隱藏在傳統器物中，以時間凝結而成的智慧。不捨這些無形資產將隨物件一同逝去，他致力以設計繼承，從傳統，學創造。展覽中展出他自2016年開始進行的大型裝置藝術創作，他將源自傳統器物的手工製作方式應用於大型空間裝置，使隱藏在器物中的精采古老智慧，得以在截然不同的尺度與功能上重生，這是他作為藝術工作者保存珍貴傳統文化的方式。
