Fish Trap House X Trinity
This work was originally created in 2024 as a commissioned piece for Cartier’s “Trinity” 100th anniversary project.
Cartier‘s iconic Trinity ring consists of three interconnected bands that cannot be separated, captivating me with its enchanting concept. I extend this fascination by relating it to the “Coordinate System” that is integral to my creative pursuits, interpreting the Trinity concept through the three-dimensional XYZ framework. From a tiny Trinity ring on the finger, it unfolds into a spatial installation artwork, inviting people to traverse its realm from different directions. It becomes a life that unites life with life.

筌屋X三環界
此作品創作於2023年，原為 Cartier Trinity 百年專案的委託作品。
路易．卡地亞（Louis Cartier）在1924年創造了Cartier的Trinity三環戒，是由三個互相緊扣在一起無法分離的環所構成。今年適逢Trinity三環戒誕生的100週年，Cartier發起《Imagine Infinite Circles》創作計畫，邀請來自世界各地不同領域的100位藝術家透過自己的創作觀點來詮釋Trinity概念。
受邀其中的台灣藝術家范承宗以他於2017年在日月潭展開的《筌屋（Fish Trap House）》系列創作來詮釋Trinity三位一體的概念，作品以傳統捕魚工具「魚筌」為題，將指間微小的三環空間放大，形塑出一座能讓人們從不同方向穿梭其中的空間裝置，匯聚生命與生命，在生命中相遇。
